Sometimes you get to see the most amazing things here. This sequence of shots is probably my most amazing experience while on an eagle safari. This male Orca is reproducing when he comes to the surface then disengages, rolls, showing how much of a man he is before diving away. I have seen a lot of nature in the 13 years I have been doing this but this was amazing. The orcas having been here for three days. Playing eating and reproducing. My theory is because of the amount of food slightly warmer water in the fjord. Its 11 deg C outside of the fjord but 14 in the fjord. These wonderful creatures have come into the fjord to reproduce. It seems to be a family celebration because I have been witness to reverse breaching, double spy hopping and a lot of playing around.
